Top Offensive Lineman Out of New York Commits to WCM

JANUARY  19,  2014,  CHICAGO,  IL  -  With  the  University  at  Buffalo  football  season  wrapped,  one  of  the school's most dominant offensive lineman in recent memory, 6'4 315 lb. Andre Davis, has signed with Brian Brundage and Matt Scearce of Worldwide Career Management  as his NFL representation  ahead of 2015 NFL Draft.

During his time as a Bull, Buffalo laid claim to one of the most dominant rushing attacks in the Mid-Atlantic Conference.  In 2012, three rushers were able to surpass the 500-yard  rushing mark, which proved it wasn't who had the ball in their hands, but rather who was clearing the way.

Often times with offensive lineman, you won't see flashy highlight films or individual stats that tell their story. Instead it's the production around them that is generally indicative of their performance.

In that case, Davis has one of the most productive resumes a lineman could boast, having cleared the way for former Buffalo running back and current San Diego Charger, Branden Oliver, who holds the school's all-time rushing record with 4,049 yards and 33 touchdowns.

When asked about blocking for Branden Oliver he said, 'His (Oliver's) achievements are very impressive and I don't see his record going down for some time.' He credited his team's rushing success to 'everyone holding each other accountable at all times and being a tight knit group.'

In addition to his obvious blocking talents, the fact that he started 48 games in his career is an indication of his durability.  In fact,  in 2012  he earned  the  team's  Workhorse  Award,  which  is given  to the  player  who played the most snaps.

Davis considers himself to be a 'blue collar worker.' When asked what that means to him he said, 'I show up to the workouts ready to go and get the job done to the best of my ability. During the season I stay healthy by working  hard  in the weight  room  as well as stretching  every  night  before  bed.'  He considers  his greatest strength as a blocker to be his vision. Davis said, 'prior to the snap I usually have an idea of how the defense is going to react. I have acquired this through hours of studying film.'

The 2015 NFL Draft kicks off in Chicago on April 30. Until then, NFL coaches, scouts, and sports analysts will be busy exhaustively reviewing each player's film, pro days and combine performances. For Davis, there have already been mock drafts projecting him as early as the 4th round.

Scouts will have their next opportunity to check out Davis during his pro day at the University at Buffalo and during private workouts.
